What is Hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy is form of deep relaxation that enables the therapist to communicate directly with your subconscious mind. Your subconscious mind holds your emotions and drives that are responsible for addictions and negative behaviours like smoking, addiction, stress and anxiety.
When the mind experiences sustained stress or trauma it develops faulty coping strategies such as addiction, anger, OCD, anxiety, depression as a response to sustained stress. Hypnotherapy can access that part of the brain responsible for the stress response to release stress and trauma and obliterate the faulty coping strategies that we have adopted. This enables you to take back control of your life and move confidently into your future.
Contrary to what we see in stage hypnosis, you are fully aware in hypnotherapy. You will not become unconscious, you are fully in control. You can hear my words and you can stop the session at any time.
In hypnosis you are deeply relaxed yet focused and alert, similar to day dreaming. The deeper you can relax the easier it is to access your subconscious mind and retrain your brain to think, feel and act in a positive and mindful way.
